A little over ten years ago, a group of dedicated volunteers came together with ambitions of building a world-class ice arena in Sun Prairie. In 2014, that dream became a reality with the opening of the Sun Prairie Ice Arena.

Since that time, the Sun Prairie Ice Arena has proven itself as one of the best skating facilities in the Midwest, bringing recreational, educational, social, and economic benefits to our community.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), your continued financial support is as important as ever.

Matt Harms (formerly Harms Insurance Group) recently presented Sun Prairie Ice Board President Dave Batterman a plaque and donation memorializing the passing of Dave’s father, William Batterman. The donation of $5,000 is the lead gift in the Sun Prairie Ice Arena’s Tenth Anniversary fundraising drive.

OUR SPONSORS play a critical role in our success, and without their generosity, we would not be able to provide the community with the ice needed to support all the programs we offer from youth through adults. Please see these testimonials from just a few of our current sponsors about their support of the Sun Prairie Ice Arena:

North Central Utility

“North Central Utility is extremely proud to continue our support of the Sun Prairie Ice Arena as well as youth, high school, and adult hockey.  For us, the “return on our advertising investment” is not monetary.  It’s about supporting a facility that is the best in the Midwest, bringing more visitors to our community than any other business in town while offering a safe and reliable place for our youth to learn to skate or play hockey.  This volunteer-run facility cannot function without the support of sponsors.  I challenge all businesses to support this effort so they can continue to bring the best to our community.”

Kwip Trip

Kwik Trip is a proud sponsor of the Sun Prairie Ice Arena. This facility has much to offer the Sun Prairie community, including adult and youth hockey, figure skating, and hockey camps and clinics. The Sun Prairie Ice Arena hosts events that bring visitors in from out of town, helping other businesses in Sun Prairie flourish. We are happy to support an organization that supports other local businesses.

Banyan Hotel Group

“The Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield Inn and Suites and Hampton Inn Madison East are proud to sponsor Sun Prairie Ice Arena.  The obvious reason would be the return on investment as the arena hosts many hockey tournaments throughout the season that bring visitors to our area.  That’s not the only reason.  One of the Core Values for our company is The Importance of Family.  This facility brings families together in the love of hockey and skating.  It provides an opportunity for all ages to learn to skate or compete in the sport.  During a recent tour of the facility, we were able to see first hand that every effort is made to make this a safe and inviting place for families to gather and we felt that warmth while we were in the building.  We are sure that every visitor that steps foot in the Sun Prairie Ice Arena feels the same.”
